The snowfall in Dolpa district has badly affected the annual exam at schools that kicked off on Thursday. Upper and mid-hill of Dolpa is blanketed with snow, bringing biting cold.

However, the students are bound to sit in the exams. The snowfall and cloudy weather caused students shivering, said teacher Harish Joshi from Laxmi Secondary School at Thulobheri municipality. The students faced difficulty to write owing to numbness. The school has however made fire in its premises in a bid to fend off cold.

Growing cold has also affected senior citizens and sick ones. A local from Tripurasundari municipality-3, Junraj Rokaya, informed that they were not able to get out of home for chilling cold.

Similarly, teacher at Saraswati Secondary School of Jagdulla, Man Bahadur Rokaya, informed that it would be difficult to continue exam if the snowfall is not stopped.
